Hey Change Nation!
Over the years, we’ve heard some extraordinary stories and learned many valuable lessons. We’ve had the pleasure of learning from scores of social entrepreneurs of all walks of life, from beginners to veterans.
Some are just beginning and others have been in business for ages. But in the end, each of them has one common connection. Every successful entrepreneur understands and values the importance of creating a clear, concise and compelling brand experience.
Your brand is the soul of your business. It’s what people connect with and tell their friends about.
Business or Brand?
There are many interpretations of this dynamic, but here is how we define the primary differences.
We’ve Noticed Something
Through our experience with SCN ‘s Virtual Accelerator, and the many amazing conversations we’ve had through our podcast, we’ve realized our audience’s desire to engage in a brand development process that will either help them develop a new brand for a startup, or leverage their current success to make a positive social impact.
With so many people struggling to navigate this space effectively, we decided it was time for us to pool our resources and tap into our network to offer you a solution.
After all, our mission is:
To inspire a nation of sold out change agents committed to leveraging their enterprises for the benefit of humanity and our planet.
Living Up To Our Mission
It’s not enough for us to just post some information on our blog or discuss it in a podcast. An endeavor so nuanced and delicate as this requires us to connect, develop a relationship and guide you through the crafting of your brand.
So, in the spirit of collaboration, we’ve teamed up with a fellow social entrepreneur that’s been in this game for almost 20 years.
We’re excited to announce that Social Change Nation has partnered up with longtime Brand Architect, Jared Angaza!
Jared offers a unique and very unorthodox blend of experience in philanthropy, activism, brand development and business strategy that he has used to develop scores of social enterprises across the globe.
Do you want to craft a brand that is profitable, sustainable and optimized to make a positive impact? Our Brand Architecture program is designed to take you there!
Over the years, Jared has developed a process called Brand Architecture, which involves a lot more than the average brand process. If you want to create a truly remarkable brand that will stand out amidst the noise, Jared’s Brand Architecture process can take you there.
In addition to Jared’s process, SCN’s founder Josh Schukman will be offering his insight from over a decade of interacting, teaching and inspiring scores of social entrepreneurs and charities.
Josh offers some amazing strategies for capitalizing on social network marketing, developing a purposeful brand and effective communication to your audience.
Together, Josh and Jared have developed two amazing packages specifically catered to Startups and existing businesses that want to Reposition & Rebrand.
“I’m so grateful to team up with Josh and SCN because it compliments the Brand Architecture process so much by offering the collective insight and wisdom gathered from an eclectic group of innovative social entrepreneurs from around the globe. The possibilities are really exciting!”
I’m the founder of Social Change Nation, the online hub for businesses that want to make a dollar AND a difference. Prior to starting Social Change Nation, I spent a decade developing cause driven brands at organizations like: AmeriCorps, Habitat for Humanity, World Relief and The Dave Ramsey Show.
I draw from a lifelong desire to be the change I wish to see in the world. I hold a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a concentration in Social Entrepreneurship. During my studies, I witnessed firsthand that business was fundamentally shifting to be a force for good. My life’s work, therefore, revolves around bringing new and existing ventures into the fold of social entrepreneurship.
I’ve interviewed social entrepreneurs the world over and I couple that knowledge with my own experiences to help clients transform their work into something that makes a dollar AND a difference.
I’m a philanthropist brand architect. For over 20 years, I’ve developed strategies, brands, campaigns, events and creative experiences for charities, governments, philanthropists and for-profit enterprises.
I’ve consulted for scores of brands across the globe, as well as movements such as American Indian Movement, Keep a Child Alive, Genocide Intervention Fund, ONE Campaign, International Justice Mission, Lawyers Without Borders, Save Darfur, Human Rights Watch, Freedom House, USAID, and the governments of the United States, Nigeria, Rwanda and Kenya.
My lifelong study of creativity, economics, science, strategy and business development has evolved into a formula of brand development. The process involves the transmutation of perspective, ethos, vision and altruism into an extraordinary brand experience that fosters harmony and interconnection.
I take a holistic approach to transforming your perspective and helping you actualize your full philanthropic potential in a way that not only benefits the world, but also increases your brand value in the eyes of the public.
I spent the last decade living and working full time in East Africa before retiring from my creative agency and moving my family to Costa Rica in early 2015. My primary focus now is to guide people and brands in the entertainment industry to leverage their platform of influence for a more harmonious world.
Jared is the co-author of Wisdom Meets Passion with his father, best selling author and speaker, Dan Miller. The two describe their journeys as entrepreneurs on a constant quest to live a meaningful life and purposeful vocation.
Today we face a unique dichotomy between the wisdom of the Baby Boomer generation and the passion of Generation Y. According to Wisdom Meets Passion, the question is not which is right, but rather how can the two work together?
Wisdom, meet passion. Passion, wisdom.
By bringing these two voices to the issue, this book takes readers through familiar plights, such as understanding the American Dream, the quest for security, and work that matters—regardless of age. Through candid storytelling, Dan Miller and Jared Angaza uncover various generational approaches to work, money, success, and relationships, proving that it is possible to be both passionate and wise.
You can order the book (or Kindle, iTunes, etc) here on Amazon.
The great thing about SCN is the network of top caliber entrepreneurs that Joshua is able to engage with. Listening to his podcasts you can see a real knowledge and passion that Joshua has for leading the social enterprise movement. David Dietz // Modavanti
Social Change Nation has helped me go from business plan to in business…from mission to meaning…from vision to purpose. SCN is my “go-to” for understanding how I can leverage my skills in business to drive impact for the causes I am most passionate about. Thank you Josh & SCN for giving me the tools, resources, network, and motivation I needed to make a dollar AND a difference! Benjamin Conard // Five North Chocolate
