Hey Change Nation! This podcast is the first in our “Best of SCN” series, taking you back to some of our early days in podcasting and sharing the stories of some amazing social entrepreneurs. This week we are bringing back one of my first live interviews with none other than Kyle FitzGerald of Life Equals– an amazing cause based company right here in my hometown of Kansas City! Life Equals offers multivitamins both direct to consumer, and via channels such as Whole Foods. In turn, each purchase of multivitamins here in the U.S. leads to a one-for-one donation of a supply of multivitamins to a child in one of 50 countries where undernourishment is an extreme problem.

Considering that malnourishment can be directly tied to some of the largest health issues in developing nations, Kyle and the team at Life Equals are tackling one of the world’s most pressing problems with their business.

For every vitamin you buy, Life Equals gives another children’s multivitamin to undernourished children in 44 countries worldwide and 33 states here in America!

There are many resources available to social entrepreneurs, but this is one of the best I have found. I am in the very early stages of a startup. Hearing from others that have already walked the path enlightens me and also reminds me that it can be done when things seem a bit overwhelming. Josh Schukman has truly created something that matters - in the eyes of social entrepreneurs and in the eyes of those who care about making a difference by way of cause based business models. I'm the founder of MADI Apparel - for every pair of underwear you buy, a pair is donated to a woman in need. We are new, we are growing, and we are attempting to spread as much awareness as possible about the need for underwear donations.
